…and it feels damn good!
I’m hitting the trails nice and slow as I prepare for the Chicago Rock-n-Roll half marathon. As much as I’d like to train hard and PR, I’m also going to take it easy and slow so as not to cause any further injury. I’d hate to be out for another month or two.
Here are my splits for my latest 3 mile run:
Mile #1 – 8:15
Mile #2 – 9:23
Mile #3 – 9:22
Not entirely bad, but I could do better. And I’m feeling fresh when I’m done with very little leg pain, so that’s a good sign.
All I know is, it’s damn good to be hitting the trails again. And I look forward to getting in some long runs on weekends!
